Catamaran sur la Costa

The sky was cloudy but the wind was there for this fourth and penultimate day of Costarmorican 2024. Ahead of the rainy front, which therefore spared us, the wind this time blew from the southern sector for around ten knots, sometimes around fifteen. The catamarans therefore all easily arrived in 3h to 3h45m for 31nm to ride.

At the front of the fleet, the Formula 18s fought until the last leg where the USA008 of Cédric Fleury and Damien Dayot took advantage of an option by passing as close as possible to Cap d'Erquy to regain the advantage over the 888 by Francis Ferrari and David Fanouillère; and thus finish 1 min 35s ahead. At the main score, the FRA2176 retains its second place although it came fourth today, behind, therefore, the USA008 at first place. On the Vipers side, the FRA622 of Allyson and Olivier Mousselon, which made a good comeback on the first part of the race, continues its series of victories but is only 30 seconds ahead of the FRA360 of Charles and Antoine Ferrec. At the rear of the fleet, the FRA66, Walter Gonzalez and Éric Girardin, arrives 12th boat in all classes.

As usual, nothing is decided, and the last stage from Erquy to Erquy via Cap Fréhel will be decisive.
