The Costarmoricaine is a raid in 5 legs over 5 days. It will cover all the Côtes d’Armor, Brittany, from Cape Fréhel to Perros-Guirec. One night at Bréhat Island is planned. This year, it is the Formula 18 Raid Worlds.

The Costarmoricaine have been the first World Championship of Long Distance in sport catamaran in 2018, and then in 2023. It also have been many times the French Cup of Long Distance. The course can reach up to 175nm (324km), in 5 days and about 80 marks to reach. The Club de Voile de la Baie d'Erquy is a small association but highly experimented in organizing international events.

The first edition of Costarmoricaine took place in 1993. The 2024 edition will be the 29th. There was no Costarmoricaine in 1997 because the CVBErquy organized the European Championship of F18, as well as in 2000 for the first Worlds of F18.

Since 1993, the race has seen the participation of some of the best current sailors. If you look at the ranking pages, you will recognize those who went through the Formula 18, continue today in offshore racing or the Tour de France à la Voile. The race remains accessible to any crew who are used to racing in Formula 18 and have participated in a long distance race before. All in all, from professionals to enlightened amateurs, everyone will find an opponent to race.
