The 23 catamarans entered in the Costarmoricaine 2025 - Mondial des Raids left
Erquy for the Île de Bréhat this Wednesday morning, July 30, as
planned, for one of the fastest first stages we have
known. The crew of FRA7 Emeric Dary and David Fanouillère took the
Formula 18 victory, albeit with a narrow lead over the fleet. In the end, however, the
gaps were small, meaning that nothing is decided yet.
Many spectators came to watch the start from the Centre beach in Erquy, before the start was given just after 11:00 in front of the Port d'Erquy. The wind was ideal, around 15 knots, and the seas were not too rough, enabling the catamarans to sail at a good speed. After rounding a first marker opposite Erquy, the
Formules 18 and Viper then headed for Saint-Quay-Portrieux before skirting the coast to the Île de Bréhat. The total distance to was 28nm, or 51km.
The catamarans are staying overnight at the Centre Nautique de Bréhat - Les Glénans.
